Profiles of Cyberbullying
This page offers you the results of the study of the impact of the cyberbullying and the intervention strategies at national and EU level, with the aim to establish the profiles of the cyberbullying aggressor-victim, for a better identification of the signs of cyberbullying per age category and distribution channels.
For this objective, the TECPC project implemented within IO1 2 actions:
- Stage 1: Studies on the national situation of cyberbullying – statistics; support strategies; selection of cases of cyberbullying; best practices actions; in each of the 6 project countries: Romania, Lithuania, Greece, Italy, Turkey and Portugal.
- Stage 2: By involving in online questionnaires and collections of data teachers, school counsellors and students from the 6 project countries.
From the scientific and practical studies, the TECPC project establish the Profile of the Victim – Aggressor of cyberbullying, on various online channels used by children.

Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in Greece
The report is analyzing statistics, support strategies, issues faced and needs of the teachers in the new digital teaching era, selection of cases of cyberbullying, best practices actions.
Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in Italy
Getting more specific about this analysis, we can get an idea of the extent of this phenomenon; in fact, around 61% of respondents claim to be victims of bullying or cyberbullying, while 68% claim to have witnessed it.
Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in in Lithuania
Today’s life seems hard to imagine without the internet and the activities on it. The internet is also becoming an arena where various humiliating behaviours take place. 5 percent of Lithuanian boys and 19 percent of girls experienced electronic bullying.
Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in Portugal
To combat the increase in cases of cyberbullying, the Ministry of Education has implemented a plan that provides for awareness and prevention of bullying and cyberbullying and, at the same time, defines mechanisms for intervention in school.
Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in Romania
As for parents’ attitude towards their children’s use of the internet, 62.9% of parents stated they did not check on their children’s friends or contacts on the social network profile, 71.3% did not control emails or messages, and 58.7% did not check the sites visited by the little ones.
Study on the national situation of cyberbullying in Turkey
Studies conducted at the national and international level show that cyberbullying and victimization are a common problem among adolescents. Studies show that cyberbullying varies between 6.3-59.4%, and cyberbullying varies between 8.7% and 63.3%.
